It is a way to bring out the personality of the material by making a natural product artificially organic, allowing it to develop in its own way along the path of conscious design. This is what we at Meddel call "controlled alteration". Sillar Dining is the innovation in design and manufacturing processes that is achieved by combining new and old techniques. The results break the contemporary and allow the idiosyncrasies of the organic world to develop its own language.
A column that may seem like an undisputed classic. And suddenly it is thought to be pierced by a metal slat with a modern shape. Ashlar is undoubtedly the definition of redefinition. Its structure is of exact proportions, something of great value in the perfect structure of a natural stone column. The metal is a sample of the very decomposition of natural elements. In this case it is provoked and stops at the taste of the precise tone, texture and color.
A reinvention of the classic Roman column also made of Roman travertine marble, a light-colored marble with a marble veining in the form of coquettes. The modern metallic structure that accompanies the ashlar design is presented in a copper oxide image, and can be done in a devastated iron finish as well as in an orange iron oxide finish. The oxidation processes of the metals are carried out in Meddel's facilities, through chemical patinas and temporary air oxidation process.
