AD MAGAZINE: A TABLE SCULPTURE BY JOAQUÍN MOLL IN THE ATTIC OF EDUARDO RIVERA

Joaquín Moll's sculpture table for Spanish fashion designer Eduardo Rivera's dining room is a unique piece of coastal travertine with korten steel.

AD magazine, in its report on the penthouse of designer Eduardo Rivera, shows in photography the dining table piece by designer Joaquín Moll. The concrete ceilings and the industrial style of the space allow to highlight pieces of enveloping naturalness as is the case of the sculpture table by Joaquín Moll.

Therefore the table is accompanied by an industrial context with velvety colored tops. A contemporary style with lots of light and color and immersed in iconic furniture and relaxed spaces.

Joaquín designed this table in Roman travertine with a coastal finish. This finish was achieved thanks to ancient quarrying techniques. Nowadays the most modern quarrying techniques do not allow the extraction of costero, which makes Joaquín Moll's sculpture table an even more unique and exclusive piece.

The Spanish designer of contemporary marble furniture Joaquín Moll always seeks to challenge the limits of material and design, with defined and geometric shapes. Joaquín's design style is distinguishable and superb, his pieces always stand out for their design and balance of the material parts.

The creation of the table in the workshop was a work of hammer and chisel. Starting from a piece of hollow stone with the roughness of the coastline, the stone was worked with great technique and care. Later, the steel oxide part was added. The steel is oxidized with oxidation processes that allow the material to extract its own qualities.

Joaquín creates conversations between materials, whose forms unite and complement each other, giving rise to contemporary furniture with a sculptural bearing. The raw finishes of the materials also show the material's own language that Joaquín prolongs and highlights.

A work of art that once again highlights the fine line between design and art.
